Our Story

On an unexpected Sunday in May of 2022, we met at Moosic Lakes in Scranton, and we still can’t believe it took us that long to find each other. It was wild to think that we both lived in New York City, had so many of the same interests, and even knew some of the same people — yet we hadn’t crossed paths before. After a brief conversation, we both knew we had found something special.

The very next week, we went on our first date in New York City, and the rest is history. Our love grew as we explored NYC, trying new restaurants and discovering even more reasons to love NYC together. But the one thing we love more than finding a new restaurant in New York is traveling and exploring new (and sometimes obscure) places. From Louisville to Seville, Seattle to Martha’s Vineyard, Ithaca to Turks and Caicos — we’ve been lucky enough to share some amazing adventures.

Our most recent adventure took us to Newport, Rhode Island, in September 2024. It rained the entire time we were there, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, but that didn’t stop Colin from convincing Kayla to go on a cliff walk where he proposed. It was truly the best weekend ever.

We are so excited to start the next chapter of our journey together — and the next city we explore will be Sicily, surrounded by our favorite people.
